Disruptions of a Different Kind

Mr Prue has been in hospital since Wednesday. The best case scenario is serious - blood clots in his lung and one in his heart. The worst case scenario is something I don't even want to think about. Why do they insist on telling you just before the weekend?

He's been ill for a couple of months and we thought it was something to do with the lung damage following pneumonia. Fortunately the doctor sent Mr Prue for a CT scan. Mr Prue had driven himself to the hospital - it's not very far away - so I had to rescue the car as they refused to let him out.

It's the weekend now so nothing is going to happen until Monday. I'm not very good at waiting. My imagination, so useful when writing stories, is now making life difficult and it's hard work keeping the dratted thing in check, reminding myself the reality of what I know and what I don't know: the facts.

It's important to remind myself that hospitals are known for making people better - something I strangely seem to forget :)

Normal service will be resumed in a while.
